I have loved American culture since I was a child, but it was not until I had the opportunity to speak with members of DEERHUNTER that I started practicing to be able to use English. At the time, I worked as a salesperson in a Zimbabwean crafts store and worked part-time as an English tutor at a cram school and as a private tutor to earn money since I was a student. While working during that time, I obtained my ALT certification through online learning in Canada. Word of mouth spread, and at the end of 2019, the head office of a big local company [Cow Soap Brand Kyoshinsha Inc.] officially asked me if I could teach English to their employees. I am not a social person and was not suited to working in an office, so I decided to run a small English school on my own. Soon after, a pandemic broke out, and it was very difficult for everyone, but fortunately, thanks to the people who came to my school, it is stable until now. The students range in age from baby class to 60 years old, which makes me very stimulating and life-study because originally my nature I want to work alone at home all my life. I am also an English learner forever and I can believe it's never too late to start something. Now the world has changed again, and so has my environment. From now on, I would like to spend the rest of my life contributing to what I love. Thanks for reading.
